A short tour of the Bluu app â how to sign in, get around, find something to watch, and set up parental controls. If you're new to Bluu, start here.
đĄ Tip â the app picks up where you left off. Wherever you were last time you used Bluu is the same spot the app opens to next time. No re-navigating to find your show.
1. đ Sign in with your Flow ID
To use Bluu, you need a Flow ID â your single account login across Flow services and all Bluu markets.
If you're a Flow customer but don't have a Flow ID yet, create one at discoverflow.co. The email you use must match the email on your Flow bill. See How to Create a Flow ID and Link Your Bill for the full steps.
To sign in on a phone or tablet:
- Open the Bluu app on your device.
- Select Sign In.
- Enter your Flow ID email and password.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to finish setting up.
To sign in on a TV (Smart TV, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV): when you open the app for the first time, a QR code appears on screen. Scan it with your phone to sign in â no typing on the remote needed. See How to Add and Manage Your Devices for the full walkthrough.
Don't worry â once you're signed in, the app remembers you. You only need to do this the first time.
If you see a sign-in error, see Sign-in & Registration Errors â What They Mean.
2. đ The Home screen
The Home screen is the first thing you see when you open Bluu. From here you can:
- See what's trending.
- Jump straight into Live TV.
- Browse your recently watched shows.
- Use the Search bar to find a programme.
From anywhere in the app, you can get back to the Home screen by selecting the Home icon in the menu â or, on most remotes, pressing the Home button.
Top tabs: at the top of the Home screen you'll see a row of category tabs (like Movies, Series, Sports, Kids). Scroll through them and pick a category to filter what you're seeing â a quick way to narrow down to the kind of content you're in the mood for.
3. đē Use the Guide first â it's the source of truth
đĄ Our top tip: When you're new to Bluu, open the Guide first to get familiar with what's available. The Guide shows your guaranteed content â the live channels and shows your subscription includes. Other parts of the app may show titles that look available but won't actually play (often because they're tied to a different plan or region). The Guide is the source of truth.
The Live TV Guide shows all your live channels and what's playing on each one. From the guide you can:
- Browse channels by name or category.
- See what's on now and coming up next.
- Look ahead to see what's on later today or tomorrow.
- Mark favourite channels for quick access.
- Select a programme to start watching.
To open the guide: open the Bluu app and select TV Guide from the home screen. Use the arrow keys on your remote, or swipe on a phone or tablet, to move through channels and times.
âŠī¸ Catch-up â start a show over or scroll back to earlier times
Some channels in the Guide show a catch-up icon (a rewind-style arrow) next to the programme name. That means the show is available to start over â even if it's already partway through, or already finished.
Two ways to use catch-up:
- Start a show from the beginning: tap the catch-up icon on the current programme and the show restarts from the start.
- Watch something from earlier: in the Guide, scroll left to see programmes from earlier times. Anything with the catch-up icon is available to watch.
If you don't see the catch-up icon next to a programme, that show isn't available for catch-up.
đŧ What about recording?
Bluu does not currently support recording (NDVR). To watch something later, look for the catch-up icon in the Guide.
4. đ Finding something to watch
Three ways to find a show or movie:
- Search â Tap the search bar and type the show name, an actor, or a genre. Results appear as you type.
- Live TV Guide â Open the guide and scroll through the channels to see what's on now and later. (Our recommendation â see Section 3.)
- On-Demand categories â Browse on-demand titles by category (movies, series, kids, and more) to discover something new.
đ Reminder: if you find something in Search or On-Demand that doesn't play, it's likely tied to a plan or region you don't have. Use the Guide for the channels and shows you're guaranteed to get.
5. đ Parental Controls
Bluu's parental controls let you keep family viewing safe. Set a PIN to block specific content ratings, channels, or categories.
What you can do:
- Set a 4-digit PIN for restricted content.
- Restrict by content rating â for example, block titles rated above PG-13.
- Restrict specific channels or content categories.
How to set it up:
- Open Settings in the Bluu app.
- Select Parental Controls.
- Create a 4-digit PIN you'll remember.
- Choose the content rating level you want to restrict.
- Tap Save. From now on, restricted content will ask for your PIN.
đĄ Quick tip: pick a PIN that's easy for you to remember but hard for a child to guess. Avoid simple sequences like 1234.
